18th May – Sustainable Construction Roundtable (Virtual)

Environmental awareness has been increasing rapidly over the past couple of decades. However, it is only in the last 10 years or so that the construction industry has really started to consider its environmental impacts. Decisive action to address those impacts is even more recent and full consideration of environmental, economic and social aspects of sustainability together (‘the triple bottom line’) is still rarely achieved. As with any rapidly developing subject, there has been an explosion of ideas and terminology on the subject of sustainable construction. There are often several ways of describing the same techniques, technologies and processes which can lead to confusion. Our round table on the 18th May offers the opportunity for Champion business leaders with interests in construction to explore these issues with a range of expert speakers and pannelists with a particular focus on the following: Does your company have a strategy in place to achieve net zero? How do we get there? How do we inspire people to get involved?
