Find coronavirus financial support for your business

Coronavirus (COVID-19) support is available to employers and the self-employed, including sole traders and limited company directors. You may be eligible for loans, tax relief and cash grants, whether your business is open or closed.

Working safely during COVID-19

Government have published 14 guides to cover a range of different types of work. Many businesses operate more than one type of workplace, such as an office, factory and fleet of vehicles.

Kickstart Scheme

The Kickstart Scheme provides funding to employers to create job placements for 16 to 24 year olds. If your organisation is creating more than 30 job placements as part of the Kickstart Scheme, you can submit your application directly online. If you’re creating fewer than 30 job placements, a Kickstart gateway can act on your behalf and apply for a Kickstart Scheme grant for you.

NHS Test & Trace

Certain venues now have a legal duty to ask all customers and visitors to provide contact details, and to display an official NHS QR code poster so that customers and visitors can check into a venue using the NHS Covid-19 app.

Customer logs will now be mandatory from Friday 18 September 2020 and QR codes will be mandatory from Thursday 24 September 2020, when the NHS app launches.

This currently applies if you provide:

  • hospitality services, including pubs, bars, restaurants and cafés
  • tourism and leisure services, including hotels, museums, cinemas, zoos and theme parks
  • close contact services, including hairdressers, barbershops and tailors
  • facilities provided by Local Authorities, including town halls and civic centres for events, community centres, libraries and children’s centres
  • places of worship, including use for events and other community activities
